Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Crabs: Clean the crabs by removing the top shell, gills, and viscera. Crack the claws and legs with a crab cracker or a mallet.
  2. Cook the Crabs: Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add the crabs and cook for about 8-10 minutes, until they turn bright red. Remove the crabs from the pot and let them cool slightly.
  3. Remove the Meat: Remove the crab meat from the shells. Break the body in half and use a small fork or pick to remove the meat from the legs and claws.
  4. Make the Lemon Butter Sauce: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  5. Add Flavorings: Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, parsley, and red pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add the Crab: Add the crab meat to the skillet, tossing gently to coat it with the lemon butter sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the crab is heated through.
  7. Serve: Transfer the crab to a serving platter and pour the remaining lemon butter sauce over the top. Garnish with additional parsley and lemon slices if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!

This Lemon Butter Crab recipe is perfect for a special dinner or a festive gathering. The rich buttery sauce infused with lemon and garlic complements the sweet, delicate flavor of the crab meat beautifully.
